I was just wondering, what is the reasoning behind a B/F over a C/C?

A lot of hands that you're ahead of check back the turn if villain is not retardedly aggressive. Most notably 7x.

Gets value out of weaker made hands, charges draws and allows us to safely fold with confidence when we are raised..C/C can put us in a very tough spot when we are faced with a river bet...

what happens when you bet the turn, get flat called...not raised. do you bet fold the river or check-call (since u've induced a bluff from a busted 7) .or check-fold?
