How to get 1440 x 900 resolution on monitor when connected to laptop?
I just got a new widescreen monitor and hooked it up to my laptop. It works. But I can't get the 1440 x 900 resolution on the laptop through the ATI settings. I have a Mobility Radeon 9000 video card and can't tell if it supports this or not.
I've been googling but having trouble finding an answer. Help! |

Re:
Are you trying to get the same resolution on both your laptop screen and the additional monitor?
Are you trying to clone the screen, or have an expanded desktop that spans across both monitors? If your monitor supports a resolution, it should be selectable in your ATI control panel, or even the regular windows display settings. |

Re:
No, I'm keeping my laptop closed and will solely use the monitor. I don't need to clone the screen or have the desktop span, I just want to use the monitor at it's setting, but can't find it anywhere!
