I thought I saw a post here that 6+ PTBB/100 hands is great, which translates to 12 BB/100 hands. I have no clue what that translates to per hour, since NL hands take longer than limit hands.

You won't get an accurate idea of your true win rate, and thus your hourly rate, until you've played tons of hands (in the range of hundreds of thousands). Until you've played that many hands, I think it makes more sense to focus on playing solid poker and not being so results oriented.

A good player with a winrate of 6 ptbb/100 over a large sample size could easily have a winrate of -20 ptbb/100 or +30 ptbb/100 over a small sample size (a few hundred hands). Variance prevents you from determining your true win rate over a small sample size.

The more hands you have records of, the more accurate you winrate will be, but keep in mind that it is very common for long-term winning players to break even or lose over thousands of hands or for long-term losing players to win over thousands of hands.

It depends on how many tables you are playing. As you add more tables your winrate should drop, but your hourly rate go up due to how many more hands you are playing. You will theoretically find a point where if you add one more tables your winrate drops enough that you had a higher hourly rate without adding that one table.

I usually play 6-8 50NL tables and my winrate over the last 100,000 hands is ~5.5 so my hourly rate is like $30-$35. I think that's pretty solid for that # of tables and less would still be good.

yea it all depends on how many tables will yield your optimal hourly rate. try experimenting and see which number you feel most comfortable with.

i play 10 tables with about a 3.8ptbb/100 winrate over 300k hands at 50nl so that comes out to about $38/hr. don't forget the more tables you play, the more bonuses you attain. at the supernova level, i make an extra $13-15 dollars an hour through bonuses.

Hmmmmph! Winrate threads suck. I am so-so at the pokerz and have an hourly winrate so far of $5.50 2-4tabling. I think a decent player 4-6 tabling should be able to make $20+ an hour. I think I'll move back down to $25NL so I can actually feel like a winning player. Good luck taking my monies.

6 tabling nl50 winrates are as follows

poor- $5 or worse
dismal $5-15
average 15-23
good 23-37
great 37-50
killing it 50+

fwiw if you are around 25 an hour thats pretty solid---- I think at 5ptbb and 6 tables you will run like ~30ish.
