Your not gonna go 19/16 from 17/14 if you open up on the button. But you gonna get 20/17 if you open up your 3bet range. ps Where did you get the idea that 19/17 is better than 17/14? Where is this [censored] coming from? [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] |

heh I play 21/18 and its not that loose at all. As tight as so many people at FT 25 NL are you could probably play 25/20 and be fine. I guess it all depends on your level of comfort in that many pots though. Sometimes I find myself playing 32/28 when the table full of <20 VPIP folks which is quite often in AM and early PM EST. After about 6pm when the >30 VPIP folks come out I chill it down to ~20 VPIP.

I'm not so much worried about what the stats say as I am with folding hands that probably have a slightly +EV. |

As an aside, how do you guys normally like dealing with 3bets from solid players who know you steal blinds frequently? Is there a ton of value in 4betting if you think villain is 3betting light, or is this so marginal that it's not worth getting into at 50NL?

don't look at it like these cards are +EV look at it like "if I raise this it will force them to have this range and it will look like I have this range so when this flop comes down I can do this if they do this and so on and so forth." That's how I do it.
