Default QQ in BB, 2 limps, 50BB stacks

About 1 hour in MTT. Effective stacks are 50BB.

MP+2 limps, SB completes. Hero in BB with QQ.
Whats the best line (against normal/good thinking opponents) to extrakt the most money yet not to stack off to a mine setter?
Checking feels very weak. If we both flop sets, all the money goes in the middle obviously, otherwise I won't get much on later streets.
Big pf-raise kind of telegraphes my hand. With overcards to my queens I'm not commited, but a 2/3 c-bet on flop will often win the pot for me (if my opponent does have an unimproved little pp).
I get a little lost if I raise pf (what amount?) and flop an overpair. Too often I stack off to a set. Help?

just raise to 6BB and play from there. You are not committed to sticking in the other 44 if things don't feel right.

Raise it up to 5BB or slightly more and then be happy to stack off with an overpair

Yeh, I am not folding postflop unless overcards hit, and maybe not then.

Really?
This way I'd rather be the one with 55 in MP. Investing 4 more BB with the option to double up.
My opponent can play perfect after flop - I'm risking my tournament life to win 6BB - doesn't sound +$EV for me. What point am I missing?

or are the stacks so short that I'm glad to be commited with an overpair on flop? I'm not crazy about it either way - well, thats why I posted it here...
Other ideas?

Surely you're not serious? You've got (depending on who's listing them) the 3rd or 4th best starting hand possible. Playing it for set value (which seems like what you're thinking) is awful. Raise for value. If you get called bet somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of the pot regardless of what the cards are. If you get played back at you'll have to evaluate. With an ace or king on the flop and a call of your continuation bet you can consider the possibility that you got outflopped.

With a raggy flop and someone playing back at you maybe you're in trouble (a caller hit his set the 1 in 8 times it can happen). More often it will be someone with a medium pair who thinks you raised a big ace and missed the flop. Stop seeing monsters under the bed.

Yeah, for every time someone busts you with a set with 55, you get loads when someone plays AJ/A10 or crud like thats and hits top pair.

IF you are worried about playing QQ, what hands are you happy playing?
