michael irvin < or > or = michael richards

Irvin was joking, Richards wasn't. To even compare the two is bizzare.

Richards was joking.

The bizarre part is trying to determine at what point a comedian performing in a comedy show starts being serious.

When Fuzzy Zoeller made a joke about Tiger not serving fried chicken and watermelon at the masters, he had to apologize. If he had to, then Irvin should. (I don't think either one warrants an apology).

[/ QUOTE ]

Saying someone likes watermelon and fried chicken isn't racist. But, since everyone knows a lot of blacks like fried chicken and collard greens, and watermelon, it IS racist.

Wait, that doesn't make sense. It's now racist because it's commonly believed to be a truth?!

serious thread and all, but the first comment had me dying laughing.

1. Are you kidding? Here we have a colored man who is making racial jokes, who would be in jail if it weren't for his money buying the court system and expensive lawyers and on the other hand "Kramer" is being heckled by two colored men in a crowd where you're not encouraged or allowed to do so in the setting it was in and he's being called out for it?

We gotta get back to being equal, there's no racial equality in the fact it's ok for a colored man to do it, and a white person gets ridiculed for it, NAACP and Jesse Jackson calling for apologies, etc.

Gimme a break, let's not make a big deal of either one and just try to get along and understand that in today's world or "pressures" there's going to be mistakes by everyone, WE'RE HUMANS!

[/ QUOTE ]

lol at "colored". way to try to sound smart, and yet still sound really dumb.
