It's just a highlight/analysis/stats show. But it's extremely well done.

Everyone thought I was leveling/joking when I said Paxson was an incompetent GM and not in the same echelon as guys like Ainge.

im not gonna write out every little mistake he's made, which i have before.

but let's just say

their "big three" consists of an average point guard, and average shooting guard, and an above average, but not all-star level small forward.

whoever they decide to put in the front court for any particularly game will almost certainly be overmatched.

also, wtf is wrong with deng and gordon? they have admitted that trade talks have hampered their play. can bulls management not keep their traps shut?

this team was built to win a lot of reg season games and fizzle in the playoffs. they cannot even do the first part of that anymore.

how is gordon average? his season last year was just as good as deng's.

your reasons, so far, are horrible.

Thats fine. Its debatable how good Paxson is. Its your statement that Ainge is in some kind of echelon is what makes you think you are leveling.

Danny Ainge is a good GM. When he took over the team they had hardly any assets. He did a great job of accumulating assets by trading crappy players and getting first-rounders back, and using the first-rounders wisely, all while keeping the team in the playoffs every year but one. Then when the right time came he cashed in those assets. I think a lot of people just pick on Ainge because it's the popular thing to do.

I disagree. People pick on Ainge because he is not very good. For everything you listed I can name just as many terrible moves. 3 million for 5 years to Scalabrine, the Telfair mess, the fact that Doc Rivers is still coach, etc. The only reason he might be considered a 2nd tier GM right now is because he luckboxed his way into Garnett.

Garnett shouldn't have even been on the market. As loyal as KG was to Minny, if McHale had done even one little thing right KG would have stayed.

Here's an example. A couple years back some of my buddies at UNM (i'm from NM) tell me to watch some UNM games because this kid Danny Granger is sick good. I watch and sure enough he is. He can play the 3, the 2 and can run the offense, not to mention he hustles like crazy and does all sorts of other little things. He basically singlehandedly leads UNM into the big dance where they lose in the first or second round I can't remember. So then the draft comes, and I'm thinking there's no way he doesn't go top 5. I'm a huge T-wolves (KG) fan and they have like the 12th pick or something. Well its like 9th or 10th pick and no one has taken Granger and I'm getting wildly excited thinking this guy is a perfect fit for KG. So what does McHale do? He takes McCants. If McHale could have done even that one little thing competently KG would have stayed in Minny.
