Sooo
Ok let me have it. I wish i had led the flop to make this easier to play. Also reason for not raising flop is because i was almost positive preflop reraiser would fold on the flop. Also what does everyone put the limper on?
Edit: Also villain is runawayt PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $50 BB (9 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter SB ($7785) BB ($2363) UTG ($2475) UTG+1 ($1064) MP1 ($9288) Hero ($14737) MP3 ($12948.75) CO ($7291) Button ($1000) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls $50, Hero raises to $200, MP3 raises to $600, 4 folds, MP1 calls $550, Hero calls $400. Re: Sooo
Im extremely worried about MP1's line... if you think that he could have a set often enough to make this laydown, now is the spot to do it when you are 200-300 bb deep. As for Mp3's line, I also am kind of worried but not as much. If he reraised preflop with say AK/QQ+, I would think with 2 callers he would have slowed down on the turn and not fired a 2nd barrelunless he turned a nut flush draw or something. Personally I would lean towards shove but I think a great player could make this laydown once in a while and be right

Re: Sooo
Urgh, I think I would let this go...and I would probably place him exactly at 88 (given TT is way less likely PF of course)...I think it's just wishful thinking putting him on J9/79ss, both because he limp-coldcalled a 3-bet which makes it very unlikely, and that you actually overcalled on the flop, making me think he would be way more likely to just call the turnbet since he should be really afraid of you overcalling, AND the fact that PFRR did bet on turn again. Trying to move you both off overpais with J9ss seems quite unlikely to me. T8 should also be very unlikely given PF. I'd be surprised if I saw anything else than 88 here ever, although I don't know villain particularly well at all. I guess it's possible once every blue moon that he cold-called a 3-bet after limping pre "thinking of implied odds" (this would require that he is quite bad however imo), and that you will fold the best hand because of that, but it's simply not reason enough for me to get it in. Same would go for a limped AA as well (that opted to just cold-call), but I don't know, I just don't think it's likely enough to make this a call.

Re: Sooo
Apparently the villain in question was of quite some importance and I'm wrong, I was mainly argueing against a tight reasonable player :P

Re: Sooo
he cant have 1010 cuz he would have raised coming in the pot preflop, all the other sets, 88 and 44 arent feasible, why would he call a raise and reraise preflop, he might have AA or a huge draw here, no way ur beat
HERO GOES ALL IN BABY also durrrr said dont fold so this has to be right |

Re: Sooo
MP1 is probably sitting on AK [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], or some other similar draw, good enough to call preflop, good enough to float a c-bet on the flop and good enough to shove the turn. JT [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] maybe?. MP3 probably is sitting on an overpair. I agree with you though, I'm more worried about MP1 than MP3. Still, with no completed straight or flush on the board, I can't see folding here. It's hard to put him on TT. 44 is also very unlikely. There are many draws MP3 can have here, and I'm only really worried about 88. I can't fold here. I shove...

First of all in a 9 handed game many players limp with 88 and TT in ep to avoid being put in a 3 bet situation, and second of all he plays the set exactly like this on flop and turn 95 percent of the time... I think calling here is not profitable on a regular basis, you have to be up against an opponent that you are 100 percent sure they make plays like this with big draws (JQs, AKs, J9s not possible based on preflop action). And obv people call reraises with 8 8 and TT all the time preflop for set value, why else |
