Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
Situation: ITM bubble of Fuper
500/1000+125 ante, 9 handed, Starting Pot = 2625 Folds to MP large stack (65k) who makes it 2500 w/ 25o, I reraise to 8500 to his direct left w/ 20500 behind w/ AK. If villain has online xray vision and knows I hold AK (I am not aware of his xray vision powers), but does not know what I will do w/ AK, is he incorrect to call preflop? 1) If you think it's incorrect, how deep does my stack have to be before it's correct for him to call (again, given he knows my hole cards, but does not know how I will play my cards)? 2) If you think it's incorrect, what's the minimum hand he needs to have before he can call profitably? (98s good enough?) |

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
I think it is correct for him to call and openshove any flop that does not contain an A or a K if you will fold to said openshove.
2) hand doesnt matter. Any hand < AK is the same thing. 98s = 25os for the most part |

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
I would like to emphasize that he doesn't know what I will do w/ my hand. I may call w/ AK high on some flops if he puts me AI.

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
89s>25o for sure cause u flop more and stronger draws, which in turn means ur equity when called is better on average assuming u sng a lot of flops where u both have no pairs.

[/ QUOTE ] I was basing my answer on assuming MikeJ always folds when he doesnt flop an A or K and we openshove flop If MikeJ is calling sometimes w/ A-hi, then 89s >>>> 25os |

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
Seems like a fold to me because I think you (being a random to him) are calling way too often on a flop with no A or K to make it profitable.

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
Will he have these x-ray powers on future hands? If so, I think this is a definite fold because then he can actually wait for a bigger edge to arise.

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
Pot odds dictate he has needs a 30% chance of winning to call. Therefore it is correct to call. Having x-ray vision is also great as he can then play based upon what you have flopped.

Re: Fuper: What If He Has X-ray Vision?
since he cant know how often you will call with AK high, it seems like a game theory concept where there is some equilibrium that can be reached. He knows you will call on any A or K hi flop and some others depending on suit, and can figure these out, so I think everything boils down to how often you call with AK high.
