Yea he was way more passive pre than post. He didn't raise a lot of flop bets but everytime a turn was checked to him he bet it from what I saw.

He could very easily have 1 spade plus open straight draw or 2-pair one spade or whatever and just enough outs to shove just-over-pot and make you fold better hands. It's not instacall but not a huge consideration before I call.

for some reason I stopped reading at the part about peeling flops

when he's peeling flops, does that include floating with air, or just reasonable stuff? if he could have air here then it's a call... otherwise it's close but still probably a call if he's shoving here with any pocket pair

I really am not sure what kinds of hands he is doing it with since the only time he has gone to showdown since we have sat is when our AA>his QQ in a RRd pot.

I was Hero here. It was a good session, quite informative.

to jfish, I dont see him folding that card after he called a flop bet, so please explain your thinking?

the problem here in my mind was 2 fold:
1. very passive player pf.
2. seemed to fire anytime he was checked to. my read was typically close to pot with weak hand and half pot or less with strong hand.

so, 1 suggests a fold. 2 suggests a call and 2b suggests a call based on bet sizing.

so we called and were showed Js5s...obv villain is obviously an expert player
