Re: Advice re: upcoming WSOP Circuit Event in Indiana
Pat,
Thanks for posting that link. I'm planning on playing there as well. Any idea why the schedule has not been posted on Cardplayer or WorldSeriesofPoker.com? I've been holding off on making my plans for Indiana until I could see the event schedule. It just seems weird to me that less than a month from the events beginning, no schedule has been put on Cardplayer or the official WSOP site. Thanks again and good luck. |

Matt - sked pretty standard WSOP-C - no? [/ QUOTE ] not compared to the last 2 that have been at Indiana. October had a 1k, 1.5k, 2k events leading up to the 5k main event and they drew a good amount of players, 150 or so. Plus it had a 1k event on the weekend prior to that. So basically that whole last weekend vanished from this time's schedule. They did add a 1k horse though, which I think won't get many players at all. And I talked to the poker room manager about this new schedule and his reasoning was that those bigger events did not get enough players last year, well this horse tourney isnt going to do good at all, so I don't see the point. |

Re: Advice re: upcoming WSOP Circuit Event in Indiana
I see several "name" pros took part in the first Circuit event in Indiana when the ME buy-in was $10,000.
Most of the Circuit Main Events are now $5,000 buy-in. Has this caused fewer pros to make the trips to these Circuit events? |

Re: Advice re: upcoming WSOP Circuit Event in Indiana
Thanks for all the tips so far.
Took a trip to St. Louis last week for a little refresher course in live tournament play. Played 5 tournaments for a total of $415 in buy-ins. Made two final tables but, unfortunately, only one cash for $628 (9th place for zero cash in a 50-man event that only paid 5 places). Looking forward to Caesar's. |

I was also wondering if the casino allows and/or participates in chop deals at the table.
If I'm heads up with a $5000 seat to the ME on the line and agree to split with the other guy, will the casino handle this or will we have to trust each other to not pull a "fast one". |

[/ QUOTE ] if neither one of you have a seat yet, someone has to take the seat. So if you want to do this, you just need to carry plenty of cash, you give the guy $2500 or whatever and you take the seat. Pretty simple |
