This has got to be a level right? [/ QUOTE ] Nope, I seriously want to catch up on some Zs. Not more than 1-2 hours a day weds-fri though, so not like all the time, but snagging an hour in the morning and then one in the afternoon would be amazing. |

This will get you fired so quick.
Your coworkers won't appreciate your shirking. |

This will get you fired so quick. Your coworkers won't appreciate your shirking. [/ QUOTE ] The thing is genuinely won't be shirking anything. They really don't care if I sit around and read all day, or go on 2+2, or play scrabble online, or whatever. I do all my work well before it's expected. Obviously they'd be displeased, but it isn't as bad as it sounds. |

[/ QUOTE ] If my employees have their work done, they can dick off, that's great, but there's an expectation that they be available to work. Playing scrabble/2p2ing doesn't stop you from answering an email or phone call. Sleeping sure as [censored] does. |

Re: Sleeping at work
The phone ringing would wake me up though. I'm not talking like hibernation, just some power naps to recharge.

Great post! I say go for it. If caught, call it a "power nap"

Ick. Clean out your wastebasket!
ETA: I'm assuming you're in the US, and if so, this is generally a bad idea, as kipin indicated. If you want to pursue this, I recommend setting up a lathe in your office...it should be just about the right height to rest your head on, and if you get caught, just tell them you were turning out some office furniture and dozed off. |

Ick. Clean out your wastebasket! [/ QUOTE ] Somebody comes like Friday evenings to clean it out, I just amassed an unusual amount of trash this week for some reason. |
