Re: Cowboys Pick Phillips
Good for him - he deserves it. His teams in Buffalo didn't have a ton of talent, but always had a stout D and suffered from incredible bad luck. He just needs to hire a qualified special teams coach rather than one of his childhood friends from Texas. He's not very good with handling the media either, so that should be fun for the locals.

Re: Cowboys Pick Phillips
Atleast they didn't take 9er coaches. I don't have a lot of love for Norv, but I think he's a great OC and has helped Alex Smith's development.

[ QUOTE ] His teams in Buffalo didn't have a ton of talent, but always had a stout D and suffered from the incredibly stupid decision to start Rob Johnson instead of Doug Flutie. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] The offense scored 20 points in 2 road games all year; and Tenn. was easily the best defense they played all year with 2 starters on the OL injured. The timing of the move was certainly questionable; but in taking the results-oriented approach I've never thought dogging him for that decision made any sense. |

Great ... now all the Charger's assistant coaches are gone. What now?
