Default PCI Express? Card won\'t fit

Looks like I blew it. Obviously I am not the best with computer hardware, so any help is appreciated.

I bought a new video card (the nVidia G-Force 6600) and the damn card won't fit into my computer. I tried putting it into the AGP and the PCI slot.

Now it seems like the reason might be because this card is made for a "PCI Express" slot, and won't fit into a normal PCI slot. Is this correct???

Yes, PCI Express cards require a PCI Express slot on the motherboard.

PCI express is a new video card technology, much like what they did with AGP, however it will not fit in the normal PCI card slot. You need a mobo equiped with PCI express

Yes I did.

I am now looking into buying a new video card which is compatible with my motherboard.

I reread the dual monitors FAQ post (a little more carefully this time). It says to use newegg, but when I search for cards with 2 DVIs and which use a PCI interface, it comes up with 1 video card which does not in fact have dual DVI outputs.

Could you guys recomend a card?

I searched Ebay and their is a nVidia GeForce 6600 (same I just bought) which is specially designed to use with AGP. But I don't know whether I have AGP 1X, 2X, 4X, or 8X. How can I tell?

Is there a card you would recomend?

Alright, it seems that my problem was that I was looking for a card with 2 DVI outputs.

It is true that it is OK to get a card with 1 VGA and 1 DVI output, right?

I have some adaptors. I am just asking to make sure there is not going to be worse performance or something.

I don't want to blow it again.

GET 2 DVI OUTPUTS! Seriously, it looks much better. I bought 2 xfx GT6600 dual DVI AGP cards from newegg a few weeks ago. Have fun:
