Default Would this be a better variant of NLHE for online play?

I was thinking that a variant of hold 'em where 9 "dead cards" are exposed along with the flop may make the game a little more complicated/interesting. It could also possibly lead to more action as people will be tempted to call more often preflop in order to see if they could flop a very strong draw.

you say along with the flop..
so I assume you mean after preflop betting. This I dont think would make it more complicated/harder so much as different. You simply have to factor in the 9 exposed cards so now instead of 9/33 cards left to hit your flush on the turn you have 9-number of same suits exposed / 24

That would kill action if anything. People would be pretty pissed off when they flop a flush draw and see half their suited cards are dead. May be interesting for some regular winning players but I think the fish wouldn't play.

this is just as likely to lead to more action as it is to kill action. ducy?
