Default $11\'s TP crap kicker on the BB 5 way

UTG (t4670)
UTG+1 (t1240)
CO (t1170)
Button (t2900)
SB (t2360)
Hero (t1160)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 5h Qh
UTG calls t50, UTG+1 calls t50, CO calls t50, Button folds, SB calls t25, Hero checks

Flop: (t250) Jd 8d Qd (5 players)
SB checks, Hero ????

I would say Im a pretty decent player but I am struggling on this type of situation. How would you guys play it. I usually put in a small bet to see where I am at but other than that I am usually baffled as to how to play this hand from the BB

Im sure a lot of people will differ to my play, but with such a co ordinated board / multiway i'll just check/fold this. My stack is very healthy @ 25/50 and I cant see any reason to get involved here.

Check/fold. The board is too coordinated for pair of queens with a terrible kicker to be good. YOu also are not likely to get one of the big stacks to fold a decent diamond.

What if the CO (or anyone, for that matter) puts in like 100, or something else very small?

Just fold anyway. Say a 2s comes off on the turn and you check again and he bets 200 are you willing to call this knowing he will probably bet again on the river? Dont fool yourself into thinking this is a hand worth investing chips in.

I generally check/fold these hands. Any bet puts in quite a chunk of your stack and well generally just isn't worth it.

Spot on, to be honest. Even though we may be ahead here quite often, it will cost us way too much to get to showdown still ahead, and just isn't worth our while.

Reverse Implied Odds are also horrendous for us here. Let it go for sure.

With 1 or possibly 2 other people in this pot I might be interested but in this case check/fold. Two things happen with this many players. 1, pot is to big and any kind of decent sized bet into it is to much to "see where your at". 2, obviously to many people in the pot. Someone is bound to have picked up a hand.
