On the turn I'd rather not give broadways a free card on the river. He could easily have a Tx like JT or KT or picked up a flush draw with his connector. I prefer to just bet, you're hand is likely best.

I'm playing a superuser IMO. This is limit. I raise, get 3bet with 88. Call. Flop set. Check to raise but he checks behind. Bet turn, fold. WTF. Who 3bets and just gives up?

[/ QUOTE ]Limit is more profitable for me it seems, lol. I know the variance can be brutal but I cause too much of my own NL variance making bad plays, starting to think it's an unfixable leak going on 2yrs now. Can't control myself. Get stacked. Minbet poker doesn't tilt me. Meh, whatever I lost a bet. Plus you get to value bet 4th pair, and it's just the hottest thing ever.

LOL Value bluffing...

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (6.25 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 8.25 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ac 9s (high card, ace).
Button has 3s Ks (high card, king).
Outcome: Hero wins 8.25 BB.

limit tilts, but it is a more longterm exhaution tilt, likewise with sngs

You don't get the shocks that are inherent in NL and you can't bluff away a stack.

And honestly .. I don't believe limit is less profitable than NL, I think NL in many ways is easier as you can just autonit it, but limit you need a lot of reads.

I don't believe that nitting up a limit table will get you anywhere ... and you need to know if calling down with K high or betting 65s on that 589T board is for value
