How do Americans view Europeans?

They just have no view on Europe. They like to sound cool acting like the US is the only country that matters, but it's really due to the fact that they know they'll never vacation in a different country.

But "could care less" means it's possible to care less, ie. they do care.

Think his point is that "could care less" means the opposite than what many think it does. If you "can care less" it means that you at least care somewhat, as there is room for caring less. If you "couldn´t care less" than you are as low in caring as possible.

I honestly missed the fact that it didn't say "couldn't". TBH I don't judge people who say it the wrong way irl though. It holds the same meaning to me even though I know it's wrong.

I don't think anyone is disputing this, but comparing it to European countries is pretty ridiculous imo

And I can say with certainty that a sizeable majority of American could not point out, say, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, or any other of a number of European countries on a map. The insularity of American culture is, in my experience, something that is difficult for Europeans to fully grasp.
