Default Burn Notice

Anyone watching this series? It's definitely one of the better summer series I've seen for a while.

It's on Thursday nights on USA at 10PM. It's about a guy (Michael Westen) who was a covert operative, but was given his "Burn Notice". The series starts up right after he got burnt, him trying to find out who burnt him and why, trying to get back into the agency while doing odd jobs to survive. The other main characters of the show are Fiona, his ex girlfriend who is ex-IRA operative and his best friend Sam, who is informing on Michael to the FBI.

Here's an extended preview of the show :

The acting isn't the best, but it got some decent action, some cool stuff and it's always got a few great comedy lines. So far, there's been 9 episodes. You can find them online if you want to give it a try, or you can just pick up the series when it starts back up after the US Open.

It seemed to be hit-or-miss for the first couple episodes, but now it's running pretty good. Fiona's a great character (plus she's sick hot).

This is a pretty funny action-comedy. I always love the tradecraft narration scenes. I think Bruce Cambell is great as usual and Gabrielle Anwar too skinny but still smoking hot.

I mostly enjoy this show but god I can't stand Fiona. If I had to deal with a chick who acted like that I would go to jail for beating her.

I enjoy the show immensely. I think all the characters are excellent. It has quickly become one of my most favorite shows.

It is basically a lot of fun to watch. It does not take itself to seriously and has about the right amount of humor/action etc.etc.

The three main characters Mike/Sam/Fiona have a great rapport and that comes through.

It is not The Wire and/or Deadwood and it does not pretend to be. That being said, I find myself not wanting to wait for Thursday nights.

We just caught up on about 5 episodes on the DVR and I have to say it's grown on me. We'll definitely keep watching.
