FTOPS #7 6 max hand
In the money in FTOPS 7, 1000$ 6 handed. I've been with zizou a long time, he plays kind of weird mixing up his preflop raise amounts and talking a lot. He's loose preflop but has been pretty standard post flop. "Pot odds 3" is pretty new to the table, doubled up pushing with 97 to beat my QJ. He's been pretty aggressive preflop too.

Why are you not leading the flop? Fold.

Re: FTOPS #7 6 max hand
I also often like a donk here, but I don't think it's automatic.
I don't understand why this is a fold, let alone such an obvious one we can say it so matter of factly. What range are you putting him on here? Sure we have to be afraid of a set which would have us crushed, but IMO he can easily make that bet with 22-TT against which we're in a pretty fair shape with ~15k in the pot after his bet. A push may not be too appealing because of stacks and his calling range, although I can see a case for it and prob prefer it to a fold a first glance. What about a call? Also tricky because we may have trouble extracting if we hit and are not guaranteed a chance to see the river, but it does freeze a lot of his range from betting on the turn and might induce PotOdds to peel with a couple of overs, which would be good for us although dangerous. |

Re: FTOPS #7 6 max hand
9 clear outs and reasonable fold equity?
zizou has left himself with what seems to be a few thousand over a pot sized raise. i'm pretty sure this is an easy all in. |

Re: FTOPS #7 6 max hand
fold> raise? really? I'm pretty sure air is in his range, and if not we probably have 9 outs. I just wasn't sure whether calling or raising was better, because I'm fairly certain other villain has nothing.
Anyway I elected to call because he'd fold all worse and call all better to an allin. I might have folded the turn to more pressure, but instead we got it allin on the turn 4 making me two pair, and unfortunately filling in his gutshot straight with A5. |

[/ QUOTE ] this is the reason i think the push is easy. it's a 3 player pot and two players have checked to him, including the pfr. the flop is crappy, raggy, and rainbow. i mean, this is about as automatic a bet as it gets. if you push and he turns out to have 88, then you have 9 outs. if you push and he has nothing, you win a nice sized pot. it's a win/win (one time in there) situation. to be honest, i was wondering if i had missed something in the translation with how people was saying it was an easy fold or that stacks were awkward. |
