Simple one outter against a moron that pots and repots everything, and guess what. HE LEFT after winning this hand after hitting a one outter on me and a two outter on drgonballs. (which he pretty much deserved for sucking out on me and then saying i've been playing poorly (technically I 5 outted him on the turn myself from a short stack situation but noone saw that)
Then 5 hands later this happens after playing somewhat tilty. Let me explain the line.

Preflop was LAG play with a mediocre hand that should be limped from the button but hey I was going to have position and didn't really care. Flop was played weak by all so continued my lag play with a decent hand and would be able to get somewhat of a read based on how everyone played the rest of the hand. Still noone showed any strength on the flop and only one weak tight caller. Three possibilities here, two draws which I have covered pretty well and have all ready shown strength and have position on or a naked AQ since I don't understand WHY the freeroll wouldn't reraise flop. So again I lead out knowing I have implied odds on the rest of my stack with 3 to split, 4 to boat, and 8 to flush and if he was drawig he will fold to the bet on turn taking the pot right there. Now someone PLEASE explain why this is a bad play since I couldn't ask him myself. 3 more to come.

AKJ8 is not a mediocre hand that should be limped from the button. Raising it up preflop is absolutely fine in an 8 handed game. Making it 3x the blind was perfect. On the flop it's acceptable to bet here in a passive game or check in an aggressive one.
I would take the free card on the turn as I want a cheap showdown in this situation, plus it may induce people to bluff as I show weakness.

Its not a bad play as long as your opponent doesnt have redraw to nut flush. In fact, this hand is the classic example of why people can lose lots of money with the bare nuts. By the way, what if villian had set of jacks or kings on flop, A weak tight player may play middle or even top set passively here, causing you to lose money when the board pairs.

agains JJA flush draw I'm pretty cooked but I think that would be reraised on the flop too. Was pretty confident in my read against this particular person but I did think about checking turn but I'm not going to expect beats to bluff into me after the check. pretty confident in this being a good call 1/2 with an extra 18 in implied. My apologies to the mods on the title. Feel free to edit it

yeah I should have included the table chat after the hand, it would have made more sence why I posted but i'm glad so far the consensus seems to be tilt or no tilt this play was fine. Thank you all

I actually think the villain in the second pot made a pretty decent play with the straight. He probably assumes you dont have the straight on the flop with your half pot bet but he opts just to call with no re-draw to see if the turn is scary. Blank on the turn and hes able to check raise almost his whole stack while being the favorite.

I think checking the turn would be a good play here instead of betting half the pot. If he has the Ace-high flush draw hes probably not folding for 15 more, especially because he might have some redraws to the straight or a similar two pair. If he has the Q-9 straight hes calling because you've shown a lot of weakness with the half-pot bet.

The call is debatable on the turn but you can probably be fairly certain he has a straight at this point so you really only have 12 outs here and a couple more to split so its a close call.
