good small stakes limit hold\'em books?
Sorry if you guys have seen this question before.. I just did a search of this site and couldn't come up with a strand that applied.
I started playing NL and read Sklansky and Harrington. Some of Sklansky's material dealt with LH, and I also have read Hellmuth's book. Any other suggestions? I play mostly live 3/6. |

In addition to SSHE, Theory of Poker is great too, if you haven't read it yet, if only because it reiterates so many important concepts that other 2+2 books deal with.

Re: good small stakes limit hold\'em books?
1. Unread Phil Hellmuth's book.
2. I would start with Winning Low Limit Holdem by Lee Jones. Then I'd read Miller's SSHE. For live 3/6, SSHE is magnificent. 3. I also learned a lot about the game from Hilger's Internet Texas Holdem. It's very, very cleary written but more applicable to around the live 5/10+ level. |

Im guessing if you read SSHE by Ed Miller twice you and you understand 75% of it you wont be able to lose at 3/6

Re: good small stakes limit hold\'em books?
I cringe a little when I see SSH auto-recommended just because the limit is low. It's not the limit that's important, it's the type of game. The book is mistitled. It should read "Playing in games where your opponents are way too loose and go too far with weak hands." Those games are not that common online nowadays. You still find them live, however.
I still believe ITH is the single best book for learning the overall limit game. |
