Top pair gets raised on turn x 3
All 3 of these hands are from WPEX $1/2 6max. In each one I have top pair or an overpair and face a turn raise/checkraise. Let me know how you would proceed. I'll add my thoughts and results in a few hours.
Hand 1 vs couple of looser LAGTAGs Button open limps, I raise A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in SB, BB calls, Button calls. Flop (6.5SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, both call. Turn (4.75BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, BB raises, Button calls, ?? Hand 2 vs unknown I open T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in SB, BB calls. Flop (4 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, BB calls. Turn (3BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, BB raises, ?? Hand 3 vs LAGTAG MP raises, I 3bet K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in CO, MP calls. Flop (7.5 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] MP checks, I bet, he calls. Turn (4.75BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] MP checks, I bet, MP check-raises, ?? |

Re: Top pair gets raised on turn x 3
Call down 1 and 2. 3rd is close between call/call, 3-bet, or call/raise river.

Re: Top pair gets raised on turn x 3
Hand 1: LAGTAG, who openlimps in CO/button? Looks like just the type who might pull some [censored] here. I'm calling down unless a club hits.
Hand 2: I call down, but would 3bet AT. Hand 3: 3bet. You have the nuts. |

Re: Top pair gets raised on turn x 3
Hand 1: I folded the turn. If it had been HU I would have called down, but the raise + cold call scared me into thinking I was against a bigger Ace, a set, or the flush from one of these guys. I'm trying to break my weak tight ways but this didn't seem like the spot for it; however both responses seem to disagree withveral me. Results: BB has A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Button has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], to my surprise I was ahead on the turn. River brings another [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and my weak tight play saves me 2 BBs this time.
Hand 2: I called the turn. I was taking top pair to showdown HU. BB could be doing this w/air, a low PP, or a flush draw often enough. River is some [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], BB bets and shows his T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], rivering the flush. I am happy with my call down, not the result. These guys just pwn me like this every session. Hand 3: I contemplated 3betting the turn or calling and raising the river. I chose the latter. River Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], MP bets, I raise(likely mistake, bad river card), MP 3bets, I make the crying call. MP shows A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], pwned by the flush draw again. Not to be results oriented, but I think I should have 3bet this turn. I trail very few hands (AA or sets) and most of the ones I beat will still probably call a 3bet here, and I can charge the flush draws extra. |
