Default Poker tells and dating....

I've been wondering if it's easier to guess if you have any chance with a girl if you've got a good grasp of reading tells. I think so, but I'm uncertain at times though because of things that seem to conflict at the tables; there's the classic playing of her hair (nervousness) and moving towards you (exicitement, interest) at the same time. I trust my reads (in poker and in life), but does this just mean I exude confidence because of that perception, or am I just good at reading people? What's everyone's two cents?

we poker players are just trained to interpret body language. Making a read in life is the same as making one in a game:

Betting patterns = what is going on (what she is saying / doing overtly)
Metagame = past experiences with her, what you know about her.
Tells = Subconcious things she is doing or trying to hide.

You take the betting pattern and interpret it considering the metagame and tells and you make a read.

I think your read is wrong
playing of her hair = flirting
+ moving towards/interest

add it all up and this means she wants you to go all in (another poster originated that pun)

I'm at a conference. Meet hot Romanian girl. Get appropriately liquored. Back to my hotel room. Now game theory tells me I should fold 10% of the time. I glance at my watch and the second hand is on 58. I kick her ass to the curb and play some online poker.

Definately re-raise.

If you have good position, then push all-in.

If she displays aggression, then fold immediately.

As another poster mentioned, change up your play, so you only make the above plays 80% of the time.

A while ago I was playing a game of Mafia (Werewolf clone where you have to guess the three mafia members amongst the group) with a good number of people, around 13, and I immediately pointed out each one based on body language. Unfortunately though we didn't wind up going with those.
