Tunica, Biloxi, Vegas, AC, Foxwoods Area, LA, Phx, KC, Florida, Shreveport...any others...lets hear it.

Depends on games and limits. I will say that the quality of life in MN is better than just about anywhere in the US (assuming of course that you can tolerate a bit of cold). The games at CP are about the best LIMIT games anywhere, but are capped at 30/60.

Need NL? Go somewhere else.
Need high limits? Go somewhere else.
Want a great quality of life and phenomenal LIMIT games to 30/60? Consider Minnesota. Better yet, stay the [censored] away, it's too damn cold here (and I have no need for a winning player to join in my very fishy game).

EDIT: If you are 30+ and have a family, don't even consider going anywhere else. If you are in your 20s and single, this may not be the best place to live.

I live 20 minutes outside of AC in an amazing neighborhood. It's very rural, neighbors are great. Shockingly, property taxes aren't as high in this neighborhood as others in NJ.

When I first moved to the area (I didn't move for poker), I lived two blocks from the beach in another good, safe neighborhood.

I personally love the area as their is always something to do. Wawas are the best and if you like sandwiches, subs are the best around here.

I'm originally a New Yorker, and while I miss it, this is definitely a great place to live.

If poker is to be your life, LA is expensive, but it is Mecca in terms of variety of games and player pool 24/7 every day of the year. But...

traffic blows
casinos are in crime ridden areas (just be careful)
cost of living is painful
public schools suck if you have kids - had to send mine to private school

and

weather is terrific
if you have the $ you can do anything
surf, ski, fish, all within a day's drive of LA

I'm born and raised in LA. Know my way around town and make a good living at something other than poker. Like the guy from MN said - what are you looking for from life OUTSIDE of poker? Hope the issues are bigger than the quality of sandwiches as suggested by another poster. LA has everything if you can afford it and can handle the frustrations of getting to it. If you aren't in the 50K and preferably 100K and up income clubs, stay away.

LOS ANGELES.

Top 2% of the hottest women in the world.
Biggest poker room in Country.
WAY more action. (this has been scientifically verified)
Vegas is 3.5 hours away.
Its almost always sunny.

I guess the cons are;
My house cost me 649k. Its less than 1200 sqft.
You need to make at least 100k a year to live.
Traffic is bad, butif you play poker alot, you wont even notice it. If you have a 9 to 5 job, yeah, traffic blows.

i was born and raised in NJ, and use to go to AC a few times week. I moved to LA 12 years ago, and just started playing a ton at the Commerce the past few years. I still play alot at the Bellagio and the Wynn, and I still feel like that action in LA dominates Vegas.

Wawa. I just dont understand why they dont want to expand. They could put every mini mart in America out of business in less than a week.

I grew in south jersey, and would probsbsaly committ suicide if I lived there again. Im joking, its not so bad. I still hang with my friends alot when I go back , and they are all about AC andthe Borgata, etc. Its way different scene than it was Iwhen I lived there.

North San Diego county or South Orange County. Better weather than LA; better schools. Lower crime. Less traffic. BUT: LA action easily accessed, and Vegas is only 4-5 hours away.

ANY place else: not enough action and worse weather. ANY place else.

Yes, Jersey has Wawa, and real diners, but SoCal has In-and-Out Burger and...everything else.
