Default turning stone questions?

i searched 2p2 and couldnt find any answers

thinkin of goin there in a few weeks and since i almost never play live (any non-lottery gambling is illegal where i live, the nearest casinos are in tunica, 4 hours away, and im not 21 yet)

the main thing i wanted to know is, im a tourney player, and im not a high stakes balla, so even though the rake is killer, im gonna play in as many of the daily tourneys as possible, since its for fun and i dont care if i lose the money...about how many runners do they get on average? also, i didnt see anything, but i may have heard theres a limit on how many can join each tourney?

also, i was looking for hotel rooms in the tower, but is it the one with the easiest access to the casino? if not, which is? or if theres a cheaper room with about the same distance to the casino, that would work as well.

i think thats all the questions...thanks

During the week, maybe 70 players for each tourney. Weekends, anywhere between 80 and 250. Good luck with them though; T4,000 starting chips, blinds at 25/50 and they raise every 20 mins. Antes start at the third level. There isn't a limit on registrations as far as I know.
I believe that the tower has the easiest access to the casino. On a weeknight, the poker rate should make a room about $75. The other option is the TS inn for about $50, which is down 357, but has a shuttle to the casino.

im heading there this weekend with a few buds, ive been around 5 times....heading there this weekend for the 24th-26th on a gambling binge trip....let me know if any 2p2ers are going...anyways...

i live up in boston and i really like turning stone....

the MTT traffic when I go is roughly 110-115 entrants per, and a solid prize pool

however, ive been to 3 final tables and the blinds create a crapshoot FTW....
1/2 NL i would suggest 200 max to provide more room for actual poker (100 big blinds, standard max for online play)

other than that, the rooms are awesome, w/ the poker rate at only $80 a night, its well worth it

watch out for the mini-bar, and gl.

I am assuming that the limit on the number of tournament entries you read about is in reference to the the tournament director trying to get the number of entrants to be a multiple of 10. What I usually see is the director go to the registration desk and count the number of people in line and then tell the staff to cut it off at 80 or 90 or whatever. I am guessing they do this so they have enough dealers to cover the cash games and it is only an issue on the days when they are unexpectedly busy. I was there on Thursday and Sunday this last week and each evening tourney drew about 85 runners.
