Default Play along hand, trips 287 BB deep

SB is running 41/3/5.5 (not a typo) over 40 hands. Pretty straight forward play so far as I could tell.

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

<font color="#C00000">Hero ($28.75)</font>
SB ($46.60)
BB ($8.87)
UTG ($2.10)
MP ($8.20)
CO ($19.28)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.4</font>, SB calls $0.35, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($0.90) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $0.8</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $1.6</font>, Hero...?

3-bet and see what happens, call if he shoves.

I strangely see SB's line quite often when they are on a flushdraw or straightdraw as well. Versus calling stations I agree with 3-betting here, vs people who are trying to be tricky I often just call and bet or raise the turn if a non-spade arrives to spoil their OOP free card play.

Obviously, the real plan for the turn is to hit the Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Now if he has a T here you are behind to AT/KT obviously, but ahead of JT/T9/T8, which are all in the range of someone with 40% vpip.

If he also is a calling station postflop (his AF is high, but I mean calling with bad odds), I'd 3-bet here to slightly over the size of the current pot + his reraise size.

Also, being effectively nearly 300BB's deep, I would not call a shove here without more specific reads.

Although this post is plain and simple, it gets the job done for this situation IMO also.

to get all the money in you need to raise somewhere... like now.

I'm surprised no other responses. I'll tell you that I just called. Will post my logic and river tonight.

Edit: I'm not saying I played this hand right - feel free to flame away in the interim.

well its not a difficult hand...

a guy with that AF and that PFR shows that hes prone to way overplay hands and draws. so im going to 3bet to around 5.5 and hope to have it all in by the turn

as played, i make it 11-12 on the turn and be all in by the river

You have to raise this turn, I am assuming that is why you didnt 3 bet him on the flop. Well you got what you wanted, so now its time to push the action. Just because you realize being this deep effects the play of hands doesnt mean the opponent does. He could have a boat, or he could have a draw, or he could have 88, or he could have whatever other randomness that people show up with. Regardless, this board is getting more draw heavy and its time to make him pay if hes drawing. Make it ~12 here and call a push.
