Here is the problem with both of your posts in this thread. NO ONE CARES! This is a thread to discuss the new Ultimate Chalupa. No one is saying Taco Bell is better than anyone. A guy just asked if anyone had tried the new product and you come in and start talking about some other restaurant that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed. Now if you had posted a product from the restaurant you recommend that was the same thing as the Ultimate Chalupa then it would make sense.

To the OP. I havent had it, but will tomorrow. It sounds pretty damn good. I had not seen the commercial for it.

Seriously, I'm getting tired of these one word posts that have absolutely nothing to do with the OP, but makes the poster feel clever.

Ogre: more stuffing your face with your beloved Chipotle and less barging into threads to troll and/or be off-topic.

OP, I saw an ad for this a day or two ago. Looks delish! But the so-so trip reports have me concerned. I will say, their ads make it look damned tasty. Looking forward to updates on this product before I attempt to make it part of my regular rotation.

Ok here is the deal guys.

Your Chalupa (ultimate) will be cold. Sorry, nothing you can do about it. Here's why. The guac, cheese, veggies(tomato, onion, etc) and especially the sourcream are all cold. This is only counteracted by the slightly warm (and very thick) outer bread which is very gyro-like. The meat is obviosly also hot.

As posted above, the guac takes over. I did not notice and salsa do to a heavy dose of guac.

Other thing I noticed was that they are serious with the sour cream. I happen to love the stuff so it doesn't bother you although I suspect that some will object. The sour cream is liberally spread out in the Chalupa so as to conform with TB's advertisement of "lots of layers!"...

Out of 10 Stars, it earns 4. This means it ranks slightly below the Mexi-melt.

These things are F***ing awesome. They hold the number #2 spot for best fast food item, while the #1 spot goes to anything from Popeyes.
