villain called very quickly. seems to have a drawy or pretty weak made hand. do i value bet this river? if i do, the bet will be pretty big which will likely scare off anything that i beat, correct? just say, "thank you riverstars" and check behind?

turn bet is really bad i think. you already tried to push him out once, so you should just take your card after it didnt work.

that turn card is not good for a double barrel. Given your description he probably bluffed the flop with a draw that he doesn't want to give up or a mediocre hand that he can't let go. That 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] didn't change anything in the hand. You are basically drawing yourself so you don't mind a free card.

As played, I check behind. You managed to build a pretty big pot and another bet will have you commited with an overpair. So if he is tarping, you have to pay him off.
