Re: NL MVP
.333/.385/.563
.316/.396/.579 Those numbers are way better than Matt Holliday's, and he plays freaking left field. If A-Rod won the MVP in 2003, Hanley/Miggy deserve consideration. Wondercall, I believe Peavy is the third name on this list. |

Re: NL MVP
Hanley and Cabrera should be on this list. IMO the MVP is an individual award. If Hanley Ramirez puts up the exact same numbers as he has except the team found some pitching and won more games, does that suddenly make him more valuable?

[/ QUOTE ] If Hanley Ramirez was really so great, he would inspire his teammates to greater achievements and the team would win more (think Derek Jeter or Jason Varitek). Florida's bad record is an indication that Ramirez is just all about individual numbers, not team achievement. You can't give the MVP to someone like that. Maybe at some point in the future he'll be able to consistently carry his team on his shoulders and they'll start winning, but until then he should not be considered. |

Re: NL MVP
Terrible poll.
Also, if the Phillies make the playoffs (and therefore finish something like 20-9) Utley will win it. |

This whole intangible business is crap. Jeter and Varitek played with much more talented teammates than what you'll find on Florida now. |
