Default Malts v. Shakes poll

Alright, the other day I posted aobut having a malt. And then, just recently, [censored] posted about going for a malt and getting denied. Obviously, malts are great.

Yet, in each of these threads, some people were claiming that shakes are the superior choice, WTF? And some people were not familiar with malts at all.

So, a question:

El D,

A good malt is obviously superior, but a malt is a lot easier to screw up than a shake IMO.

I prefer shakes.

But if I'm going for the malt, its chocolate-peanut butter.

El D,

I have lived an empty and meaningless existence, and was neglected by my parents. Pray tell, what is the difference between a shake and a malt?

Assuming you mean shakes with ice cream (we call 'em frappes back home, shakes don't have ice cream), I go with shakes.

I was never too into the malt flavor, in general. But they're a good treat from time to time.

A malt has "malt powder" in it, which is the sweet powder stuff that "Whoppers" candy are made of.

All - what is a "Fribble"? Is this simply the Friendly's term for a shake?
