Default Barclays?

If posted elsewhere, sorry. Anyone else from the NY/NJ/Conn area planning on attending the Barclays? We just purchased tix online at a halfway decent price and think it'll be a pretty enjoyable time. Anyone from that area know good, reasonably priced places to stay? Food? All info appreciated.

Beat: No Tiger

He claims he's worn out from the Oklahoma heat. Probably also wants to spend time with his family.

Heat has no affect on pro golfers.

I just read this and commented on it on ESPN.com. Sucks. I personally don't mind a ton, b/c I follow golf closely and would like to watch other players, but this is pretty bad for my fiance. Not shockingly she knows next to no one other than TW.

The man has the right to make the best business decisions possible for himself, but on the same token the PGA Tour's touting of the Fedex Cup just lost a ton of credibility.

Well if the PGA Tour wasn't retarded they would've made sure the "playoffs" started two weeks after the PGA. Pretty simple stuff and I can't believe they did it this way.

I don't get what you're saying. The playoff IS starting 2 weeks after the PGA.

Must have been misworded b/c I also didn't understand. Are you saying it SHOULDN'T have been two weeks after Southern Hills? This would be a fair point, considering travel and heat, etc. However, this doesn't appear to be a huge priority to Tiger, so he may have skipped anyway.

Oh...I'm on vacation so haven't been following what event starts this week. Guess I just thought since this thread was up it was already started.

In that case, wtf, Tiger?

It starts next week Butcho. I think you were saying/wanting two weeks BETWEEN the pga and barclays. Anyway, Tiger will probably win the last three playoff events so why not skip the first one for some extra rest/family time?
