Sopranos and Curb are 1 and 2, not close really.

BTW I've been re-watching Curb recently and not liking it. I *loved* it the first time I saw it, I would've put it as one of the top 10 TV series of all time. Now I just get annoyed with all the fighting.

24...even though 6 seasons in, each season kinda stands alone and can be enjoyed, but much better to watch from season 1 which was great in my opinion

the wire is great also

give lost another shot and try and understand that the twists will all unravel in due time but you gotta just let them get through them all

definately the sopranos

definately curb

six feet under was really good too if you like that type of drama (which i do)

prison break is pretty good to if you can watch it without comercials and without a week in between, they have just finished the 2nd season, so not to much catching up if you wanted to get into that
battlestar gallactica is real good also

If you haven't seen it, watch Freaks and Geeks, only 1 season so it's not like a big investment and it was a great show. Also I second weeds, I just finished watching the second season and it was amazing, glad they finally put out a date for season 3 to start.

The Wire is great, as most everyone mentioned, but don't overlook Deadwood.
