Would a tight passive player still be in the hand with AQ and no diamond? I doubt it, otherwise he does not fit with the read that has been provided for him. The check raise on the flop told him that you either had a King or were pumping a draw. Once the diamond came on the turn, the only draw that he is still ahead of is J10 (no diamond). I doubt whether he would stick around to find out on the river. I really can't see him playing the way that he has without a diamond. If you check the river and he is passive, he probably won't bet without a flush. So I think you should check and fold to a bet. I hope that I am not being result orientated. The OP would have made a better problem if he had not given any of the river action.

It is a tight passive table, but we do not have any specific reads on villain.
