The hardest part about beating a bot is identifying them. The tells:

1) First and foremost, TIMING! A bot will generally take the same amount of time deciding to play 72o as they will playing AA. They will demonstrate the same timing throughout the hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this a troll post? Are you serious? You think timing is a reliable method of detecting a bot? Do you have any idea how trivial it would be to vary the timing?

Anyone smart enough to build a winning bot will not get caught by such simple detection methods.

"Bot Writers" are in the kiddie script phase. They are using canned scripts and modifying. Most give it up after losing their arses. Coders will improve the timing variable, agreed, no argument there.

Edit: I'm telling you how to beat bots today, not tomorrow. If you have a better technique, pray tell.

LOL, what you saw was a first generation amatuer. Don't think for a minute these guys are fools.

He may be right about this, in the other thread the bots stuck out way too much, someone with half a brain could easily make them less suspicious looking.

Why are bots any harder to beat than anyone else? Who would you rather play: a table full of bots or a table full of 2+2ers?

They're not, this is becoming an urban legend. Read OP how to beat them.

Colluding bots, that's a different scenerio. I wouldn't play with coluding 2+2'ers either.
