Live Game: How to extract max value from a good player
This game has a weird structure, blinds are 1-2 and 5 is the minimum to come in - what this means is, a player can limp for 5, and the blinds can fold. This game generally plays very passively, small raises and lots of players to the flops. Very few even decent players populate this game, the villain is one of the few good players I've encountered there.
Hero is BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain opens for $15 UTG+1, all fold to Hero, who raises to $45. At that point, villain says "I think I just stepped on a monster" and calls. Hero has about $420 in front to start the hand, villain has around $275. Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks, villain bets $30, hero calls. Turn is J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks, villain checks. River is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero??? I would appreciate comments on all streets here, especially the flop. I think that I could have played this much better. Thanks for the comments in advance. |
