Obviously he is more likely to call you if you have a pretty aggressive image.

This is definitely not always true against semi-decent opponents.

What I meant is he would be likely to call you if you are aggressive than if you were a passive nut-peddler.

The problem with this hand is that just about every hand with a 9 in it either was full already on the turn or improved on the river. I don't think this bluff works anywhere near often enough to be profitable.

If you wanted to bluff the turn here, you should made a cheaper raise, somewhere in the $120-$140 range (which looks stronger anyway IMO and should definitely get rid of the draws) with the plan of giving up on most rivers if called. Definitely on a 7, T, J, Q, or A.

in my experience once they call the turn here, they are just never folding

Once he calls the turn, he is probably calling the river getting 3 to 1. What is your image?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would guess I have a very aggressive image. But that cuts both ways -- I could definitely be bluffing, but I could also be value-betting pretty thin.

[/ QUOTE ]
most people don't look at it that way though, they just think "he bluffs a lot I call".

Don't like it. I'd put him on on boat that isn't folding once he calls the turn. I don't see how he can lead-call on a paired board and then fold the river.

and that guy didn't strike me as a gambling call station either.
