Home Advantage for Kiabuxxe

Austrian high stakes cash player Nikolaus "Kaibuxxe" Jedlicka just had a nice bit of home form with his tournament life at stake. He raised pre-flop in early position to 300 and was re-raised by the player to his left to 1,300. Kaibuxxe made the call and the flop came down {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Nikolaus checked and his opponent bet out 1,500, which prompted Nikolaus to insta-shove all in for a total of 5,675. His opponent called almost before Jedlicka's chips were across the line:

{A-Spades}{8-Spades} for Kaibuxxe and {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for his opponent.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} giving Kaibuxxe the nut flush and he closed his eyes for the river which was a harmless {3-Diamonds}. Kaibuxxe doubled up on the hand, while his opponent was left with only 1,500 chips.

Although I like it if an Austrian goes deep but I don't know if I like this play. Calling a 1,300 re-raise OOP with A8s and a 7,000 stack? Guess he wants to accumulate chips early or go back to cash games.

from Blonde Poker:

In fact, I have the remnants of a Dani Stern hand from just before the break. It looked to be blind on blind but I'm not sure what the betting was preflop or post flop, but I saw him check the river of a three clubs board and saw the scrabbletastically named Krzysztof Czerwinski make an almost pot-sized bet of 3.6k through shaking hands. Stern ended up passing what would've cost pratically all his stack, so I think he roughly had about 4k left.

Live poker is rigged, that is all.

The pot in the updates was tiny, took me from like 13-15k.

Then lost a pot to get down to 11, then ran AK into KK against the only agressive player at the table when I was HJ-1 and he was button. He had 3bet like 8 times, and had opened like 25-30 pots in the ~100 hands we had played.

That hand was kinda misrepresented.

bustosoon opens lp to 275 at 50-100 and I 3b to 900 w/ AK in the sb. bb nit flats, busto folds. Flop is KQ5 iirc w/ 2 hearts. I check he checks. Turn is a low blank I check/call 1500. River is a 6 of hearts, I check he bets 3500 and I fold after thinking for ~3 minutes.

The only way I wasn't beat was if he was smart enough to turn 99-JJ into a bluff there, but pretty much no one is, and it felt really strong. He told me after I busted that he had QQQ and I beleive him I guess.

I was down to 7k tho not 4k. Few hands into 75/150 after the break, utg opens to 400, I flat next to act w QQ, bb comes along, 3 way to the flop. Flop is 269 w/ 2 diamonds, I dont have a diamond. bb checks, utg almost bets then decides to check, i bet 1k, bb folds, utg shoves and I insta snap beat him into the pot etc. He has black AK.

River ace.
