Suggestion to eliminate spam and improve the quality of 2+2

My suggestion is for a one-time registration fee, not a monthly membership fee if that's what you're thinking. It should be small enough so that micro-stakers could afford it but big enough to hurt potential spammers. Like $10.

It's a brilliant yet simple solution to eliminating the accursed spam that has all but taken over the entire site and which has become the main talking point in many of the forums.

(Disclaimer: My wholehearted support of your suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with your suggestion of distributing the proceeds to the mods, but, obviously, without this minor rider, the idea would be total crap.)

It'd be cool to allow permabans to return on a upward scale per unban, so add $5 for the unbanning fee per unban. Man, you could make a few grand a month off of pittm easy.

this is a bad idea. dont get me wrong, 2+2 is a great online community but how many people would even bother to register here to post advice/critique/gossip/etc if they had pay any amount or even go through the extra leg work to pay for it. this would certainly cut down on a major part of the user base here.

on the other hand im kinda conflicted because NVG will just die out because none of the broke railbirds will be posting anymore. god sooo difficult between either sacrificing a large portion of future and current posters to kill out NVG.

I don't hate the idea, provided it's a (very) small fee, and payment is easy (i.e. person-to-person transfer on a site).

Perhaps even a members-only section.
