He can't possibly be a good player and play any hand like this besides some very very fancy bluff. Good players will bet most of their big hands on that flop, won't bet so tiny on the turn with a good hand or a bluff, etc etc.

OK, so now that we know he's not a good player, it's a clear fold. Definitely a slowplay (or he turned big). Never a bluff, a value bet from a worse hand, or a semibluff.

So, muck.

as a general rule, no one ever believes a turn raise after checking last to act- so we have to counteract that by adjusting what is at the top of our range

Well i thought since he couldnt have any better hand except for the case 99, i should go all in, because 2 pairs is a strong hand in nl holdem

That's funny, practise is always different from theory. I said I'd fold cuz in these situations a lot I end up pushing, and losing to his horribly played AA and berate them in my mind and tell myself I'll fold next time to such an obvious big hand.

What's this "only 99" crap tho? At the very least you have to give him AA,JJ,99,33, AJ and A9.

Like 3 hands in yesterday, both me and villain have played like 2/3 of the pots.

This line cracked me up.

I think A3, can easily get here. All kinds of thinking gets him there, playing a small pot, afraid of a C/R, etc. 99 makes the most sense, but unless we give him a range of 99 exactly, it is a small part of his range. I was trying really hard to find a monster under the bed there, and struggled to find them.

with a 2 way draw on board, and our hand strong enough that we hate to fold when something like 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hits, I just get it in now.

I have a general theoretic observation.
Maybe I am missing something with my live play, but I don't understand how I could ever win if I made folds in these spots. We could be beat, but to me a lot of spots are way too close to this. Unless I was winning 90% of my hands without showdown, there is just no way I can fold and expect to actually do anything. For me, this is closer to a spot where I am very happy to get my money in than it is to a fold.
