Not giving playerpoints for satellite entries or steps, stealing $5 Million from the players in the MONSTER promotion (look it up) and in general not being trustworthy.

My understanding about the complaint about MONSTER is that Party were running a promotion at the time they ceased serving US customers.

In this promotion, customers made an additional contribution from rake towards a series of large tournaments.

When Party ceased serving the US, they cancelled that tournament and paid out players' equity in the tournament according to the amount of money that had been collected.

On my understanding, I don't understand why others are upset about it, since they got their expected equity.

Another example of why the players are dropping:
I had $0 in my account, then they put in $75 for me(but I had to clear it to withdraw it.)
I cleared it and lost almost all of it.

This thread reminded me I had a few bucks left:
I withdraw $14.54 U.S$
I will receive $12.52 Can$ into my account in a few days!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME PARTY?
I wrote a note in the comment field of the cashout box that I will not be back until the currency conversion and the ridiculous $2.50 fee is removed.
I'm sure this will do alot

Oh well, still up $12 I guess.

Actually, Party paid out quite a generous overlay on the Monster. That's not the reason.

The players paid in 9.4 M and party paid back 7.8 M so not much of an overlay. The tournament and SNG players were getting a great overlay during the promo and still received a nice overlay after the payouts. This overlay however had nothing to do with party being generous and everything to do with the cash game players paying in a lot more than they were getting back.

they are publicly traded, right? seems like a good way to get some of the stolen money back at least.

these factors are not likely to slow party's strong growth.

we represent a tiny fraction of the market.

The reason that they got away from this withouth losing all their customers is that the IQ of the 'sheep' majority of players is rather low.

Ignorance is bliss.

I must admit when the American legislation was introduced I thought that the Poker rooms that did not accept Americans would be kissing the rest of our asses for our business(things like allowing existing accounts to switch to rakeback)- instead all bonuses have been slashed or changed to contributed etc- am I the only one who stupidly thought this ?
