I'm about 5'7". It'd be better for sports, but aside from that, no way. The only chicks who wouldn't date me because of my height are taller than me anyway. I've never had issues in that department.

I already have long legs and a short torso (6'), so making legs longer would just be ridiculous.

I'm assuming they stretch the femurs out? People are going to start looking funny with short little (fibula? tibia?...whatever the bone from the knee to ankle is called), and long femurs.

People who are like 5'7 with short legs and long torso are probably the best candidates. They could get to a more respectable height of 5'9", AND look proportional.

I'm short, 5'1", and I'd love to be a few inches taller. I can't say, with any certainty, that it has affected my dating results, but I've definitely read and heard that women prefer taller men.

The most recent thing I remember hearing was that 20/20 or 60 Minutes did some sort of sexual myths testing thing a year or two ago, and one of the things tested was the height of potential partners. The results, when women were presented with a line up of guys, were that, of the women interviewed, none of them chose the shortest guy, regardless of what they were told about his other qualities, like wealth, business success, etc.

Anyway, as much as I'd like to be taller, I would not want to undergo this kind of procedure to get that height.

6'8" here. I don't mind my height right now, and I feel the benefits outweigh the inconveniences, perhaps being a few inches shorter would be more practical in terms of finding clothes etc.

That being said, I would really have preferred to be about 3 inches taller, at which point I feel I could have made a better true center, as opposed to a tall and slow forward.

I'm pretty happy with 5'9". I think being taller would get in the way of things I like to do like running and climbing.

I don't understand how being tall could possibly get in the way of those two things.

you probably don't do much of either of those two things.

Yeah, I understand. I'm about 6'2" and I can't move at anything faster than a brisk walk and I've never climbed anything higher than my bed. It sucks being tall.
