PS 50+5 UTG with TT

1st level, maybe the 15th hand. I've raised once w/ JJ UTG and no callers. I think this raise is real light, classic squeeze, but that just may be the MTT player in me. Minimal reads and no notes, this player has once raised and taken the blinds.

Sorry if this is basic, but a range here would be beneficial. I've had trouble putting people on a reasonably accurate hand in this situation at this level.

It's really difficult to put villain on a range in this spot, because if he makes that kind of raise, he's obviously not playing by the book. Either way it's a fold.

I'll do my best to put my thoughts into words, I'm really tired. In a SNG you are not trying to accumulate chips in the manner you are in a MTT, since you are playing to get ITM and not just go for 1st. You probably have no FE equity if you push, and unless villain has a smaller pair, you are either dominated or flipping. You can definitely push QQ, JJ is debatable.

A range is really difficult here. The raise could mean "I don't want to play post flop" or it's purpose is that you just think this.

I don't think that you will see a fold by him often enough if you repop. If he folded his hand, he would be a 100% donk.

I'm not expecting him to ever fold to a reraise. I'm just trying to figure out how I fair against his reraise range for a push.

I guess it's not good and I appriciate the analysis. It's just in MTTs I see a lower pair more often than JJ+. Well, and a flip isn't usually to be avoided then.

This is not a MTT, that's the simple and only answer to your question.

I also wouldn't raise tens here, they are too weak into a whole field UTG+1 at level 1.

If you're limping here for set value, would you also limp with smaller pairs? Or are you suggesting a fold?
