Two unusual lines
Hand #1:
Button seems tight and passive pre-flop. Post-flop, He'll keep betting any pair or draw as long as you let him. His WTSD is about 40%. UGT limps, folded to button who raises, I three-bet with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the small blind, BB folds, UTG folds (shockingly), button caps. I put button on AK, JJ, QQ, KK, AA with a remote outside chance that he's getting out of line with a suited connecter or smaller pair. Flop: 7A3 rainbow I check, button bets, I call. Turn: offsuit 9 I check, button bets, I call. River: 5 I check, button bets, I check-raise... ======== Hand #2: Villain in this hand is very passive pre- and post-flop. I have never seen him check-raise or three-bet post-flop with less than two pair. I have never seen him three-bet pre-flop with less than AK. Folded to the villain in the cutoff; he raises. I three-bet on the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. The small blind calls 2 1/3 bets, the big blind calls and the villain caps. We all call. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to the villain who bets. I raise, the blinds drop out and the villain calls. Turn: small blank Villain checks, I bet, villain calls. River: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain donks and I just call... Re: Two unusual lines
Given the read in hand one, I don't see value in check-raising.

Given the read in hand one, I don't see value in check-raising. [/ QUOTE ] we're ahead like 15:1 , so as long as he occasionally calls the c/r with JJ/QQ/KK there's value. |

Re: Two unusual lines
hand 1... me likey... if you are confident he will bet this river with a smaller ace/an underpair, which i assume you were i really like it... if it were less certain i like a river donk...
hand 2... if you trust your read and it's over a reasonable sample size, which it sounds credible, i think it's fine... given your read i'm not sure what he donks here other than another AK/boat... i really want to say you missed some value on the river, but i can't imagine what this player would cap the flop/lead into you on the river with that you beat... |

[/ QUOTE ] The villain in hand #1 pretty much keeps on betting as long as you let him once he starts. The problem in hand #2 is that I couldn't imagine what else he could have, either. So, I called.
