Re: KQ unimproved on the turn
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I think this is a mandatory bet/fold. He's peeling the flop way too light to check. He probably would have c/r with a pair. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: KQ unimproved on the turn
What does everyone think he's peeling with that we beat?
The cool-call from the SB says, "Pocket pair, a-high that doesn't want to 3bet, some suited connector/broadway type hands" to me. We only beat one of those categories, and I think it's the least frequently occurring. I don't think you'll fold a better hand on the turn, nor do I think you'll fold one out on the river barring some very specific cards coming. However, we don't know what those cards would be since it's dependent on his hand. Also, is it possible that our chances of having the best hand are increased if he checkraises the turn? Just throwing that out there... |

If I can sucker bets out of random hands from this guy I'm definately checking behind. [/ QUOTE ] This is a bad tactic IMO. |

Re: KQ unimproved on the turn
[ QUOTE ]
I'll do both, it really depends on the rythym I'm in, and my recent history with the table/guy. However, if I'm checking the turn, I'm folding the river UI. [/ QUOTE ] Care to explain some of the rhythyms that make you check? I assume running bad and playing a lot of hands is one. |

Re: KQ unimproved on the turn
Bet. The two is no help. In general a 9 or mid pp makes a move by now. A 5 is unlikely for an SB coldcall, although not unheard of.
Still, bet. |

Re: KQ unimproved on the turn
I'm basically trying to estimate my liklihood of getting a fold or being check raise-bluffed. If I'm playing a lot recently, or I feel like this guy thinks I can be pushed around, I won't go for the bet.

Re: KQ unimproved on the turn
I think a 30/20's SB cold call isn't necessarily quite so strong and theres plenty of nonsense hands here he'll peel flop with and fold turn to. To name a few, 76s, 78s, KJ, QJ. I think this turn is a bet.
