We weren't (or at least, I wasn't), taking the piss out of your complaint.

We were having a go at the sort of people who claim they'll ditch a PR over any trivial complaint.

So we were guilty over taking your thread off topic (for which, apologies), but I don't think anyone disagreed that you had reason to be annoyed at the lack of important information.
