How is hand 2 a semi-bluff?

Hand 1 is okay though they never seem to fold KJ here and if they are really bad they call with a big draw. I'm not against betting $35 or check/calling.

I was partially kidding but I like hand 2 a lot better than hand 1.

I'd like the exact definition of "semi-bluff"-doesn't it entail hitting outs that are live? Can you semi-bluff when you are drawing dead? (as in him having a set here--not saying he does, but he might).

why the overshove in hand 1? If you think hes floating you too much 85 should do it, I think he folds the same hands he would to the shove.

hand 2, i think the bet is a little too big, you'll have to fire river a decent amout and now that's gonna have to be a shove. Id like it better if you were deeper.

semi bluff - betting with a hand that is behind, but has equity in the pot.

1- sexy

2- Fine if your image is good against this player. Bet size is not so good. If you had a strong hand I don't think you should bet quite that much.
