For tonight, I would estimate approximately 100. Thursday nights are usually the busiest weeknight for late night tournaments. The Midnight Madness at the Taj averages about 60-70, except on Thursdays, which averages around 100.

This midnight tournament at Borgata is still new, and not heavily advertised. The number of registrations will increase as word gets around town.

(Keep in mind, it actually starts at 11:30PM)

Thanks! Yes...it does start at 11:30pm. Will be there by 10pm.

Gonna donk around 1/2 employing an all-in/fold on flop strategy (if you will) with $100 til then. I'm either the biggest fish or ppl will hate me.

Does anyone have any comments about the structure?

http://www.theborgata.com/Main.cfm?Categ...E64104E5E83AB8B

It seems to start off deep on paper, but with 15 minutes levels, how long will that last? How does it compare with Showboatements' structure in practice?

They changed the page/structure. It used to state 20 minute levels. Changes my mind a little bit about favoring this one over the Taj. Both have positives and negatives. Borgata has longer levels, better blind structure. Taj has more starting chips, no antes.

Showboat is 10,000 chips, 20 minute levels, start at 50/100, no antes.

All three tournaments are pretty similar. A positive in one area leads to a negative in another.

Yeah, the Showboat tournament and its structure is the best your going to get in Atlantic City for the amount of the buy-in. I would recommend trying the 7PM tournament at Showboat for $65 and then head over to the 11:30PM tournament at Borgata for $75.

The 11PM tournaments at Showboat have been gone for several months now. I want to say since February 2007.

Kidfresh - If you ended up going to the Borg, maybe you can give us a mini-trip report of the tournament. I would be interested in more opinions of those who played in the tournament.

Hopefully you did not take that as an insult. Just sometimes people are baffled that the "Midnight Madness" tournament at the Taj doesn't start at midnight, but actually 12:12.
