more courtroom stuff, kind of the same idea

the defense dude says something controversial or unorthodox and the prosecutor shouts out, OBJECTION YOUR HONOR!!

then the judge gets this look on his face like he's in some deep thought..hmm,.. over..ruled.... but this better be going somewhere!

TV and movies:
"Stay away from my family!"
"This is so crazy, it might just work."
"I'm getting too old for this ___"
Red wire/blue wire crap.
"There's only one way to find out"

Porn:
"Is there anything I can do to pass this class?"

Oh, and even though it's somewhat off-topic, CSI Miami deserves a mention.

Someone is at a restaurant and gets some bad/worrisome news and immediately orders a strong drink, e.g., "Waiter! I'll have a Manhattan!" or if they've already ordered one, "Better make it a double," etc. This was even done on The Office, which really annoyed me.

[/ QUOTE ]

On a bit of a tangent, what about when someone goes up to the bar and says, "I'll have a beer." The movie bartender always just nods and goes to get one. WTF? What kind of beer? In their efforts to go out of the way to avoid unpaid product placement, now we have to endure scenes where you can just say 'beer' and have to live with whatever they bring you. Even worse, sometimes they show up with a product placement anyway. If I say beer and I'm given Budweiser, I'd be pretty pissed. I want to be able to say 'beer' and be handed a [censored] Newcastle.

This is far worse when referring to non-alcoholic beverages.

"I'll have a cola."

To quote Adam Carolla:

"I want this to happen to me once in my life, someone coming to me on my porch and telling me they need me, cause I'm the best."

"I love how the guy always has to think about it. Just once I want this to happen. "Hey Jack, we..." "I'm in, what's the job?"

"I was born ready"

Actually, this is basically the only reason I want to see Ocean's 13.

George Clooney: Are you ready?
Andy Garcia: ...I was born ready.
Me watching preview: *Rolls eyes*
George Clooney: *Rolls eyes*
Me watching preview: "YES!"

Also, "This is what you trained for!"

and

"GO GO GO"

[/ QUOTE ]

that was absolutely hysterical in the commercial; so smart of the writers

[/ QUOTE ]

The bit from the first one, where Clooney gives the empassioned cheesey speach about "because the house always wins" and then Pitt clowns him is awesome in the same way.

Agree with Tim about sex scenes. So often they add nothing to the plot. If I wanna see people [censored], I'll watch porn and see it done right, but two minutes of nonsense for hte sake of some titty often is horrible in anotherwise solid movie. Also agree with Tim about them actually being awesome in Knocked Up.
