Default Check out THIS Full Tilt \"feature\" - I\'m outta there

So I wanted to transfer a bunch of $$ to a friend. No problem.

UNTIL I make a typo in the guys alias in the transfer process. The money gets sent to the wrong person.

Problem is - they know of the problem but say they will not undue the mistake. If the other guy wants to keep the money he can and I'm out of luck!

Granted - "I" made the mistake and notified them right away (you only have to enter the name, nothing more) - they basically said "To bad, so sad" move along!

My feeling is that this is total BS with their software with not checks or buttons way ARE YOU SURE??

WOW!

Another problem is the guy I transfered money to probably has not played FT for 4 years. The average player only lasts 6 months.

I am stunned they would be so anti customer.

Don't you see the city of the person you are transfering to? That is how i make sure the transfer is always to the right person.

Could you post the e-mail exchange? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

at stars they give you the city name and ask if you are sure. at UB they match the first name and kick it back if you get the screename incorrect with the first name, at FTP they send the money instantly so long as there is a valid screename.

I transferred money mistakenly by one "l" or something one time, you are SOL.

that is so completely bizarre.

just such a weird policy.

I guess they don't want people to be able to have any way of taking it back once they do a transfer because then you could more easily scam someone.

But c'mon...the name is close to the name they were intending to send to. Pretty easy to see it's likely no kind of scam and just an honest mistake.

No - all there is is a box and you fill in the alias - click the button and that is it. His alias is a common name spelled wrong - thus - the mistake! Like Gwendel and Gwendal

Hello XXXX,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support with your player to player transfer error.

While I understand that you have made a mistake in entering the recipient for your player transfer, please be aware that the responsibility is on the sender to ensure that all necessary information is entered correctly.

That being said, we will contact the player on your behalf and request that they transfer the funds back to you. Please understand that if said player chooses not to comply to our request, they cannot be forced to return the funds and Full Tilt Poker cannot be held liable nor are we able to replace those funds.

We thank you for your understanding and hope that the player chooses to comply with your request.

UNDERSTANDING MY butt!

"all necessary information" all it is is the name nothing else!

FWIW, they do contact the person who received a transfer wrongly. I received one incorrectly about two months ago and sent it back, pretty decent amount, mid four figures and they sent this:

Hello Jon,

Thank you for playing on Full Tilt Poker. We hope you enjoy your stay.

It has come to our attention that a player transfer of $4100, transaction
#xxxxxxxxx, was mistakenly initiated to your account by the sender, "
xxxxxxxxxx ".

On behalf of "xxxxxxxxx ", we would like to request that you initiate a
transfer back to the sender at your earliest convenience. Your
cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation Jon, and
best of luck at the tables!

Regards,

Kenny

they really need a confirmation button, that crap is stupid.

I like UB's way of doing it.. you need the first name as well, there's no way you can get it wrong.
